If the active day is strong and costing a lot of energy (walking wwith the backpack or just walking all day long for taking pics), the day after is always a resting day, spent eating and doing something else (swimming, sunbathing, reading...) without so much effort.
For example, yesterday I reached Pont-Aven, walking in a sunny and hot day and without eating a lot, today I spent 2 hours walking for taking some pics and I spent the afternoon surfing, chatting and eating stuff from the boulangerie.
I don't know if the equilibrium is healthy or not...but I'm fine :)
